1、掌握英語基礎知識

語音、詞匯和語法是英語學習的基礎。掌握不好這三者，就無從提高聽、說、讀、寫的技能，更無從培養(yǎng)初步運用英語的能力。因此：

(1) 愉快學習英語

“興趣是最好的老師”。英語是一門有用的交際語言，你若能很好地駕馭它，它就能帶你遨游知識的海洋，讓你領略與母語完全不同的風情。學好英語也為你打開一扇窗，讓你通過它開拓視野、了解外面五彩繽紛的世界。更為重要的是它升學的必考科目：中高考、出國留學等等。因此我們必須讓自己盡快喜歡這門學科。

(2)歸納學習英語

學生對舊知識和新知識進行聯(lián)系、比較、歸納、總結或從大量的實例中總結出規(guī)律來，不但可以使新舊知識系統(tǒng)化，鞏固舊知識，而且可以運用正確的方法來學習新知識。

學語音時， 要在不規(guī)則中找規(guī)律。學詞匯時，要在讀準音的基礎上，總結記憶單詞的方法。學語法時，要學會發(fā)現(xiàn)規(guī)律，采用靈活多變的方法，在用中學。如可以采用歸納法來學語法。初一英語主要有兩大時態(tài)：一般現(xiàn)在時和現(xiàn)在進行時。學生已經(jīng)在小學對它們有所掌握?？衫眠@一優(yōu)勢，進行比較、分析、推理，自己歸納結果，再分析結果，總結出語法規(guī)則來，用規(guī)范的語言來表述其各種不同的用法，不斷練習加以鞏固。

培養(yǎng)聽、說、讀、寫運用英語的能力既是目的，又是使知識轉化為能力的重要基本功訓練手法。它要求打好口語基礎，并在這基礎上培養(yǎng)讀寫能力。從聽說入手，讀寫跟上是一條有效的捷徑。初一英語教材比較生活化，聽力、口語素材非常多，可以從以下幾種方面來訓練英語基本技能：

聽力方面：通過不斷地聽標準的英語，進行模仿;認真聽老師的課堂用語及掌握有關聽力技巧;經(jīng)常去英語角，多聽英文歌、英文電臺或收看英文節(jié)目;

口語方面：經(jīng)常大聲、清晰地朗讀英語，以增強語感;盡可能多地開口說英語，如參加英語角、英文詩歌朗誦比賽、講英語小故事、一分鐘演講等活動;一個人時可采用獨白，兩人對話，三四人表演小品的形式練習英語;
