高中英語必修3知識點(一)

　　e.g. Our school sports meeting will take place next Friday.

　　辨析：take place指事情有計劃地發(fā)生;happen指事情偶然的發(fā)生，常帶有未能預(yù)見的意思;另外，happen還有“碰巧”之意;break out指火災(zāi)、戰(zhàn)爭或瘟疫的突然爆發(fā)。

　　take the place of代替，替代
