八年級英語上冊知識點(diǎn)(三)
1、 always、usually、often、sometimes、hardly ever和never
always、usually、often、sometimes、hardly ever和never是英語中最常見的頻度副詞。
(1)always 的頻度為100%,表示動(dòng)作重復(fù)、狀態(tài)繼續(xù),中間沒有間斷,意思是“總是”、“永遠(yuǎn)地”。
The sun always rises in the east and sets in the west. 太陽總是東升西落。
(2)usually 的頻度為70%左右,意為“通常”、“平常”,即很少有例外。
He usually goes to bed at ten o’clock. 他通常10點(diǎn)鐘睡覺。
(3)often 的頻度為50%左右,意為“常常”,但不如usually那么頻繁,表示動(dòng)作重復(fù),中間有間斷。
He is often late for school. 他上學(xué)經(jīng)常遲到。
(4)sometimes 的頻度為20%左右,意為“有時(shí)”,表示動(dòng)作偶爾發(fā)生??梢晕挥诰涫?,以示強(qiáng)調(diào)。多用于一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)。
It is sometimes hot and sometimes cold. 天氣忽冷忽熱。
Sometimes he does it this way and sometimes he does it that way.
他有時(shí)這樣做,有時(shí)那樣做。
(5)hardly ever 的頻度為5%左右,意為“幾乎不”、“偶爾”,表頻率,位置是“行前be后”。
I hardly ever go out these days. 這些天我?guī)缀醪怀鲩T。
(6)never 的頻度為0,意為“從來不”、“永不”。
My parents are never late for work. 我父母上班從來不遲到。
【拓展】
(1)這些副詞在句子中的位置基本相同,一般放在助動(dòng)詞、be動(dòng)詞或情態(tài)動(dòng)詞之后,行為動(dòng)詞之前。即:“行”前“助(系)”后。
Peter is always late for school. Peter上學(xué)總是遲到。
I usually do my homework in the evening. 我通常在晚上做作業(yè)。
(2)hardly和hard
hardly和hard形式上很接近,但意義截然不同。
1)hard作形容詞時(shí),意為“困難的;硬的;勤奮的;嚴(yán)厲的;苛刻的”。
hard作副詞時(shí)常用來表示程度,意為“努力地;猛烈地;劇烈地”。
This ground is too hard to dig. 這塊地太硬,挖不動(dòng)。
They tried hard to succeed. 他們努力工作,以求得成功。
2)hardly是表頻率的副詞,意為“幾乎不;幾乎沒有”,相當(dāng)于almost not。
There is hardly any coffee left.= There’s almost no coffee left.
幾乎沒有剩余的咖啡了。
(3)sometimes、sometime、some time和some times
He was sometimes late for school. 他有時(shí)上學(xué)遲到。
He came here sometime. 他某個(gè)時(shí)候來過這里。
He will stay there for some time. 他將在那里待一段時(shí)間。
She came home some times. 她回了幾次家。
2、 exercise
(1)作不及物動(dòng)詞,意為“鍛煉、運(yùn)動(dòng)”。
— How often do you exercise? 你多久鍛煉一次?
— I exercise every day. 我每天都鍛煉。
(2)作不可數(shù)名詞,意為“鍛煉、運(yùn)動(dòng)”,常與動(dòng)詞take連用。
Exercise makes me keep healthy. 運(yùn)動(dòng)使我保持健康。
John likes to take exercise in the open air. 約翰喜歡在戶外鍛煉。
(3)作可數(shù)名詞,意為“練習(xí);操”。
We do morning exercises every day. 我們每天做早操。
We do English exercises to help us learn English well.
我們做英語練習(xí)以便學(xué)好英語。
3、 most
most表示“大部分,多半”的意思。
Most children like playing computer games. 大部分孩子喜歡玩電腦游戲。
【拓展】 most與most of 的區(qū)別:
(1)most后可直接跟名詞(可數(shù)或不可數(shù)),同時(shí),也可接有形容詞修飾的名詞。
Most boys like playing football. 大部分男孩都喜歡踢足球。
I always spend most time learning English.我總是花大部分時(shí)間學(xué)習(xí)英語。
(2)most后不能直接跟有定冠詞、指示代詞或物主代詞所修飾的名詞,遇到這些情況用most of 代替most。
I spent most of my time learning to play the piano last year.
去年我把大部分時(shí)間都花在學(xué)彈鋼琴上了。
I did most of that difficult work. 那件困難的工作絕大部分都是由我做的。
(3)most of 后跟人稱代詞時(shí),應(yīng)用復(fù)數(shù)形式的人稱代詞賓格。
Most of them are going off to Guangzhou next week.
他們中的多數(shù)人都準(zhǔn)備下星期去廣州。
(4)most 前有定冠詞時(shí),可用來修飾多音節(jié)形容詞,表示最高級,意為“最”。
This is the most beautiful flower. 這是最漂亮的花。
但是,如果most前有不定冠詞a,則表示“非常;很”,相當(dāng)于very。
She is a most beautiful girl. 她是個(gè)非常漂亮的姑娘。
4、 no
no是形容詞,意為“無,沒有”,一般用作定語,后接可數(shù)名詞或不可數(shù)名詞。相當(dāng)于not…a/any。
I have no friends.=I don’t have a/any friend. 我沒有朋友。
